Purpose: A Foundry Sand Plant is designed to handle the complete process of sand preparation, mixing, molding, and reclamation in foundries. It focuses on producing high-quality molding sand for metal casting, while also facilitating the reuse of sand, reducing waste, and minimizing operational costs.

Main Components:

• Sand Preparation: Includes equipment for mixing raw sand with binders, additives, and other ingredients to create suitable molding sand for casting.
• Sand Reclamation: Reclaims used sand from previous casting processes, washing and restoring it to a condition where it can be reused for new molds, significantly reducing sand wastage and material costs.
• Molding & Core Making: Equipment to create molds and cores from the prepared sand, which will then be used for metal casting.
• Sand Cooling: Ensures that the sand reaches the optimal temperature for safe and efficient use in molding.

Purpose: Designed to reclaim and recycle used foundry sand, which has been contaminated during the casting process. The plant restores sand to its original quality, making it reusable for new molds, reducing waste and minimizing the need for fresh sand.

Components:

• Sand Screening: Separates large impurities, debris, and contaminants from the used sand.
• Sand Washing: Removes fine particles, dust, and residual metal or mold material from the sand.
• Drying System: Ensures that reclaimed sand is dried to the proper moisture content before reuse in molding processes.
• Cooler: Cools down hot sand after reclamation to prevent thermal shock and ensure it’s at an optimal temperature for reuse.
• Sand Cooling and Reconditioning: Reconditions the sand for mold and core making by adjusting its thermal and physical properties to match original requirements.
